Replacing the excavator filter element is to prevent fuel system blockage and ensure its normal operation. In general, the replacement cycle is 250 hours of * * * operation, and then every 500 hours of operation. When the pressure gauge of the filter element alarms or indicates abnormal pressure, it is necessary to check whether there is any abnormal phenomenon in the filter element. In addition, when there is leakage or deformation on the surface of the filter element, it needs to be replaced.
If the inefficient and inferior filter element is replaced, it may not be immediately visible, and the engine seems to be running normally. However, long-term operation may have caused corrosion, wear, and other damage to engine parts. These damages are implicit and will erupt when accumulated to a certain extent. Although there are no signs at present, it does not mean that the problem does not exist. Once a problem is discovered, it may be too late, so insisting on using high-quality and guaranteed pure filter elements can provide a certain degree of protection for the engine.
The use of an appropriate filter element for filtration accuracy is to achieve a balance between filtration efficiency and ash capacity. If an excessively high filtration accuracy filter element is used, it may shorten the service life of the filter element due to its low ash capacity, thereby increasing the risk of premature clogging of the oil filter element.
